Any Buddy Can Donate

Blood donation is a community service. It is the noblest cause you can do to help ailing people. Transfusion of blood and blood products helps to save millions of lives every year. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health care provision reduced blood donations and blood drives. Fear of the coronavirus is preventing people from going to hospitals or medical camps. Sadly, many patients requiring transfusion do not have timely access to safe blood, “A B C D “ campaign is a strong initiative from the Adtaken under the leadership of Royal Majestic to encourage more people to become blood donors and to meet the need of all patients requiring transfusion. The aim of the campaign is to embolden the people to donate blood and to know the HIV status of the donor. The objectives of this campaign are:

● Inspire more people to donate blood regularly.
● Appreciate individuals who donate blood.
● Focus attention on the donor’s medical conditions.
● Early detection of various diseases including HIV.

Social media has made it easier to connect with youngsters anywhere around the world to participate at the forefront of this initiative through voluntary and non-remunerated blood donations. Donors can share their ‘blood donation photographs’ through Adtaken’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. The photograph that gets the highest number of likes will be awarded a cash prize. This is a special focus of the campaign to engage the attention of young people in assuring a safe blood donation.

Adtaken is a next-generation advertising company acquired by Royal Majestic, a high-performance organization that supports innovative and socially committed projects with financial or non-financial assistance. A B C D campaign is a solid initiative from the Adtaken family as a part of their ethically committed program “Future Donate” for encouraging more people all over the world to donate blood regularly and contribute to better health. The purpose of “Future Donate” is to promote blood donation and awareness of HIV. The idea is to conduct blood donation camps on a regular basis to increase the stock of blood units in blood banks. All mandatory tests including HIV will be done on the collected blood units and information given to donors. The database includes information about the donor, recipient, how much and when the blood was collected and the details of the medical personnel. This database will be helpful to hospitals and registered blood donation groups. Thus the goal of the program ‘saving lives and improving health’ can be successfully completed.
